Electrics

If you need an electrician,  you might also need a plasterer afterwards, or a painter and decorator.  The Odd Job Man can do them all with just one phone call.  Call us for a free no obligation quotation.

Part Pelectrics
From the 1st January 2005, the Law changed. The Government has amended the Building regulations with a new Part P requiring all domestic electrical work to be carried out by a registered electrical contractor. All domestic electrical work in England and Wales will be enforced through local building control.

This has wide ranging implications.  When it comes to selling a property or even taking out buildings insurance, the home owner will be required to provide evidence in the form of certificated paperwork that all electrical work has been carried out to BS 7671 by a registered electrical contractor.

As you can see from above, DIY electrics are now a thing of the past.  If you need a job doing that involves electrics we use our own recommended fully qualified electricians who can supply the certificates needed at the end of the job.
